Reading the Record is committed to correcting factual errors promptly and transparently.
Material corrections will be added to the published story with a note explaining what changed and when. Clarifications and significant updates will also be labeled. We do not silently alter a story in a way that changes its meaning.
Readers and sources are encouraged to submit correction requests with supporting evidence through the Contact page. Reading the Record’s responsibility is to tell the truth as supported by the evidence. When we get a material fact wrong, we will correct it publicly, explain what changed and when, and preserve an honest record of the mistake.
